Towpath between Bridge 77 (Calf Heath Bridge) to Bridge 78A (Four Ashes Bridge) Four Ashes, Wolverhampton

The contractors will be unable to meet the current completion date of 29/05/26 due to a combination of resourcing constraints, adverse weather conditions, and a theft on site. The new completion date will be 05/06/26.

Please be advised that contractors have experienced unexpected changes on site and this has caused a delay in their works which will now be completed on 29th May.

Due to delays in the contractor's programme, the towpath closure needs to be extended until 22/05/26 to facilitate the resurfacing works. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Third-party contractors undertaking works in connection with the West Midlands Interchange Project will be carrying out towpath resurfacing between Bridge 77 (Calf Heath Bridge) and Four Ashes Bridge (No. 78A).

To facilitate these works, the towpath will be temporarily closed to the public for the duration of the project. A signed diversion route will be in place, and appropriate signage will be displayed on site.

All users are requested to follow the signed diversion route and comply with any instructions issued by the contractors on site. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation during these essential works.
