Black Brook Bridge towpath washed away
The towpath near Black Brook Bridge 42F on the River Soar, between Loughborough and Normanton on Soar, is currently closed following recent flooding, which has washed away part of the structure.
For safety reasons, the closure is expected to remain in place for an extended period. Due to fluctuating water levels, a temporary solution is not currently feasible, and a more permanent repair will be required.
We are planning to undertake the main repair works by March 2027. We will provide further updates once timescales are confirmed.
