Due to the restricted weight limit on the access road to Etruria CSF, the refuse facility has been serviced using a general waste skip. Following the introduction of Simpler Recycling, it has no longer been possible to comply with the new legislation, as standard bin lorries exceed the permissible weight for the access road.
As a result, the refuse facility has been relocated approximately 400 meters north to Black Prince Marina on the Trent and Mersey Canal. The new facility will accommodate all required waste streams, ensuring full compliance with Simpler Recycling regulations.
Access to the facility will be via the towpath through a gate secured with a BWB key.
