Adjacent to Bridge 41, Coleshill Road Bridge

We would like to clarify that mooring will be suspended between Bridge 41 (Coleshill Road Bridge) and Bridge 40 (Taverners Bridge) for the duration of this stoppage. Thank you for your understanding.

We apologise for the addition of these works to our winter programme. They are required to enable the safe demolition of a building adjacent to the canal by a third party. The former Britannia Works building, located on the offside of the canal, is in a dilapidated condition and needs to be taken down safely. A stoppage will be in place from 16 February to 8 March to allow the works to be carried out safely. Please note that the local customer facilities above Atherstone Top Lock will be outside of the stoppage and will remain available throughout this period.
