The gearing mechanism has been repaired and the lock is operational.

Navigation is currently closed at this location due to the towpath-side head paddle being out of use following a failure of the gearing mechanism. The guillotine gate has been isolated and turned off. Customers are requested not to operate or attempt to use the guillotine gate. Our local team is on site assessing the fault and determining the repairs required. An update will be provide by the end of the day Friday 16th January
