Unfortunately navigation will remain closed through Lock 63 offside side, Clearwater lock on the Trent & Mersey Canal, due to leakage.
Currently the job for the grouting repairs at Lock 63 will need to be planned in, and until a date is confirmed for the grouting works, the towpath side of Lock 63 will remain open for navigation.
A further update will be provided on or before Tuesday 28 April.

Navigation remains closed through Lock 63 offside side, Clearwater lock on the Trent & Mersey Canal, due to leakage.
While we are looking into repairs as part of our National Grouting Programme, Lock 63, Towpath side remains open for navigation.
A further update will be provided in April 2026, when the new financial budgets allow.

Please be advised that Lock 63, Clear Water Lock - Off Side, on the Trent & Mersey Canal remains closed due to leakage and requires re-grouting.
Until a date is confirmed for the grouting works, the towpath side of Lock 63 will remain open for navigation.
An update will be provided on Monday 16 February.

Please be advised Lock 63, Clear Water Lock - Off Side on the Trent & Mersey Canal is closed due to suspected seal damage, causing the gates to leak.
Whilst a method of repair is being organised, Lock 63, Clear Water Lock - Towpath side will still be open for navigation.
An update will be provided on Monday 19 January.
