A stoppage is required to carry out a principal inspection of the bridge. This will take place from 2–6 March, following an earlier stoppage scheduled for 16–20 February.

Cancelled: We are pleased to confirm that the principal inspections carried out on Manchester Road Bridge last week have progressed ahead of schedule. As the work has been completed earlier than planned, the stoppage previously scheduled for 2–6 March will no longer be required.
