These works have now been extended until the end of day on Tuesday 20th January. Please be aware that during working hours, delays of up to four hours may be experienced on the navigation, however, the contractors will be on site to confirm the length of delay. Please be aware of increased activity.

Crane lifting operations will take place above the canal and towpath for the installation of a new public footbridge 600m downstream of Dockholm Lock 62 near Long Eaton.
During working hours, delays of up to four hours may be experienced. The navigation will remain fully open outside of these hours. For expected delay times, please contact the contractors at 07769 724637 when you arrive.
Additionally, an 800 metre section of the lower canal towpath will be closed for three days, with a diversion in place via the adjacent higher-level footpath.
