Between Bridge 39 & Bridge 41

These trees are planned to be removed tomorrow Saturday 10th Jan.

We will update once cleared or further information available.

Please be advised that three trees have fallen between Bridge 39, High Bridge, and Bridge 41, Grub Street Bridge, obstructing both the navigation and the towpath on the Shropshire Union canal. One at Bridge 39 and two together at bridge 41.

Contractors have been instructed to attend.

Storm Goretti has impacted a number of our waterways, resulting in a high volume of incidents. Our teams are prioritising safety and are working to clear obstructions and reopen affected routes as quickly as possible.
