Third-party contractors will be onsite at Bridge 70a, Railway Bridge, on the Macclesfield Canal to carry out a detailed bridge inspection on Tuesday 13 January 2026 between 8am and 5pm.
To be able to inspect the bridge, a pontoon will be in place, and we request all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop to allow the pontoon and equipment to be moved out the way for safe passage.
Please listen and take instruction from contractors on site. We anticipate a wait of no longer than 20 minutes.
