IES Utilities Group are undertaking the removal of a redundant gas pipe and bridge spanning the Fossdyke Canal and adjacent Railway at Bridge 4C, Gas Pipe Bridge, Skellingthorpe. This work will be undertaken between the 31st January 2026 and 8th March 2026 from 10 pm to 6 am. There will be restrictions on the following dates to move materials, erect scaffolding, lift the bridge and pipework.

The towpath and navigation will remain open during the day, however, there may be delays of up to 20 minutes. Pedestrians may need to be escorted through the works. Please be aware of increased activity in the area.
