York Street Lock

We have been unable to repair the failed paddle, and the lock will therefore remain closed. Repairs will be carried out as part of the planned winter works to replace the top and bottom lock gates, scheduled from 5 January to 13 March (see Notice: https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/notices/0196b21b-54a6-7a63-a34a-5bd19b306c52).

Passage through the lock can be arranged for essential travel only, such as returning to your mooring at Stourport Basin or leaving the basin to return to your home mooring for Christmas. To make arrangements, please contact 0303 040 4040 or email [email protected].

Please note that navigation will be closed at York Street Lock, Staffs & Worcs Canal, today and tomorrow, 16 & 17 December, as a paddle has failed, and the local team will be doing essential paddle repairs.
