The towpath remains closed due to the over hanging tree.
We are waiting for specialist contractors to attend to clear the site. This is taking longer than usual due to a backlog of work caused by the recent adverse weather conditions.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday 12 December.

over hanging tree
A large tree is over hanging on the towpath at Bridge 94 on the Lancaster canal, making it dangerous for passers by.
Contractors have been instructed, but at present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are dealing with a back log from the high workload created from the adverse weather conditions we have currently experienced.
We will provide a further update on or before Wednesday 10 December.
