Navigation and towpath remain closed due to a fallen tree.
We are waiting for specialist contractors to attend to clear the site. This is taking longer than usual due to a backlog of work caused by the recent adverse weather conditions.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday 19 December.

We are waiting for specialist contractors to attend to clear the site. This is taking longer than usual due to a backlog of work caused by the recent adverse weather conditions.

Navigation and towpath remain closed due to a fallen tree.
At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are dealing with a back log from the high workload created from the adverse weather conditions we have currently experienced.
We will provide a further update on or before Wednesday 10 December.

Navigation and towpath remains closed due to the fallen tree.
At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are currently dealing with a back log from the high workload created from Storm Claudia.

A fallen tree is currently blocking navigation and towpath between Bridges 5 and 5A on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.
We have instructed our contractors, however, at present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday, 28 November.
