Update 21 November 2025, 10:49am
We have received an update from our contractors regarding the fallen tree north of Dimmingsdale Bridge. Unfortunately, removal will not be possible until early next week. The tree has been assessed as being approximately 1 m in diameter and will require additional planning, specialist expertise, and potentially heavy-lifting equipment, subject to suitable access arrangements.
A separate team is attending site today to carry out a full assessment and develop a safe and effective removal plan. In the meantime, Contractors have been diverted to clear another fallen tree nearby at Mops Farm Bridge, following further disruption caused by Storm Claudia.
We apologise for the continued disruption and thank you for your understanding while we work to resolve this safely.
Update 20 November 2025, 5:06pm
Unfortunately, contractors were unable to attend to the tree this afternoon. They are scheduled to return tomorrow, and we anticipate being able to reopen navigation once the works are completed.
We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while we work to restore safe navigation as quickly as possible.
Update 20 November 2025, 11:10am
We are hoping contractors will be able to attend to this tree this afternoon. We will provide a further update as soon as we receive one.
