Between Bridge 46 Dane Moss Bridge and Bridge 47 Broadhursts Swing Bridge

Navigation and towpath remains closed between Bridge 46 and 47 on the Macclesfield Canal, following the large tree that has fallen.

Unfortunately due to the contractors high volume of work from the recent Storm Claudia, we are currently still awaiting confirmation of their attendance.

Navigation and towpath remains closed between Bridge 46 and 47 on the Macclesfield Canal, following a large tree that has fallen.

Due to the recent Storm Claudia our contractors are experiencing a high volume of work and we are currently awaiting confirmation of their attendance.

We will provide a further update on or before Friday 21 November.

A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation and towpath, between Bridge 46 and Bridge 47 on the Macclesfield Canal.

We have instructed our contractors, however, at present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays.
