Our teams have been working throughout the week to remove the large number of fallen trees in the North West following Storm Claudia.
We have not yet been able to reach all affected sites, but we are working through them as quickly as possible, and our teams remain focused on reopening our navigations and towpaths. We will provide further updates as soon as they become available.

Navigation and towpath remains closed between Bridge 52 on the Macclesfield Canal, following a large tree that has fallen.
Due to the recent Storm Claudia our contractors are experiencing a high volume of work and we are currently awaiting confirmation of their attendance.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday 21 November.

A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation and towpath, at Bridge 52 on the Macclesfield Canal.
We have instructed our contractors, however, at present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays.
We will provide a further update on or before Wednesday 19 November.
