Between Bridge 13B, School Brow Footbridge and Bridge 14, Hole House Fold Bridge

Our teams have been working throughout the week to remove the large number of fallen trees in the North West following Storm Claudia. 

We have not yet been able to reach all affected sites, but we are working through them as quickly as possible, and our teams remain focused on reopening our navigations and towpaths. We will provide further updates as soon as they become available.

A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation between Bridge 13B, School Brow Footbridge and Bridge 14, Hole House Fold Bridge on the Peak Forest Canal. Due to the size and position of the tree, we need to instruct our specialist contractor to assist with the removal.   At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Claudia have impacted our waterways across the North West causing delays.   We will provide a further update on or before Friday, 21 November.
