Thank you for your patience whilst we worked with our contractors to remove the tree. We are pleased to advise that equipment and personnel are scheduled for Friday 19th December, with the necessary permissions in place from Anglian Water. Completion is anticipated on the day.

Please be assured we are working closely with our contractors on removing the tree from the waterway; we once again thank you for your patience whilst they work towards clearing it and this notice will be updated when the navigation has fully re-opened.

Please be advised that there is currently no change at the moment and it is still not safely navigable for any vessels. A Further update will be provided when we have some further information. 

Having received further information regarding this location we have been advised it is not safely navigable for any vessels and we therefore will be updating this as a full closure to ensure safety for all boaters. We apologise for this inconvenience .

We are pleased to advise narrowboats can now navigate this section. We are awaiting confirmation that Wide beams can get past the remainder of the tree which is due to be cleared, and will update the notice once confirmed.

A tree is blocking the navigation outside the Globe Inn, this has been raised with our contractor's who will be attending site.
