Completed: Water levels have started to come down and the Environment Agency has opened Shardlow flood gates. Shardlow Lock is open and boating customers can now proceed as normal. Please check our website (https://canalrivertrust.org.uk/notices) for any other restrictions to navigation in this area.

The Environment Agency has closed the flood gates at Shardlow. As part of this process Shardlow Lock has been locked off and this section of the Trent & Mersey Canal is not currently navigable. We will update this notice when further information is received from the Environment Agency.
