Please be aware that navigation between Lock 87 and Lock 89 on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal will be closed from Monday 17 November while we carry out emergency works.
A faulty paddle requires our team to install stop planks to enable safe working environment to carry out investigations and repairs. While the stop planks are in place, the team will also look at removing the underwater obstruction preventing the gates opening fully.
We will provide a further update once investigations are complete, on or before Friday 21 November.
