A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking towpath between Bridges 59B & 60, on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. Our teams have attended the site, however due to the size of the tree we need to instruct our specialist contractor to assist with the removal.

At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Amy are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays.

We will provide a further update on or before Friday 10 October.
