The navigation and towpath remains closed due to the large tree that has fallen between bridges 26 and 27 on the Lancaster Canal.
Due to the recent Storm Amy our contractors are still experiencing a high volume of work and have unfortunately been delayed.
We will provide a further update on Monday 13 October.

The navigation and towpath remains closed due to the large tree that has fallen between bridges 26 and 27 on the Lancaster Canal.
Due to the recent Storm Amy our contractors are experiencing a high volume of work and we are currently awaiting confirmation of their attendance.
We will provide a further update on Friday 10 October.

Fallen tree
A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking navigation and towpath between bridges 26 and 27 on the Lancaster Canal. Our teams have attended the site, however, due to the size of the tree we need to instruct our specialist contractor to assist with the removal.
At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Amy are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays.
We will provide a further update on or before Thursday, 9th October.
