Towpath and navigation remains closed due to a large tree that has fallen between Bridge 130 & Bridge 131 on the Lancaster Canal.
Due to the recent Storm Amy our contractors are experiencing a high volume of work, and have scheduled the removal tomorrow.
We will provide a further update on or before Friday 10 October.

A large tree has fallen and is currently blocking towpath between Bridges 130 & 131, on the Lancaster Canal. Our teams have attended the site, however due to the size of the tree we need to instruct our specialist contractor to assist with the removal. At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as adverse weather conditions from Storm Amy are impacting our waterways across the North West and causing delays. We will provide a further update on or before Wednesday 8 October.
