Unfortunately, this stoppage has been extended until 21st November due to additional work identified on site. This change will affect the stoppage dates for the grouting work at Lock 5, Rufford Branch, which will now run from 21st November to 5th December.

We apologise for the need to add a navigation closure to carry out grouting works on the Lock.  Grouting is a repair method where special cement is injected into cracks or gaps in the lock's structure. This helps stop leaks, strengthens the lock, and keeps it working well for years to come.  During this period, towpath access will be restricted.  Please note: We will open up navigation over the weekend within this stoppage window to help reduce the disruption.
