Locks 2 & 3 Camp Hill flight

There is a length of offside waterway wall located between Lock 2 and Lock 3 along Camp Hill Flight, Grand Union Canal, Bordesley, Birmingham.  The wall needs essential repair works to be carried out as it has settled and is rotating towards the canal.  We will be carrying out ground investigation works by excavating behind the wall on Friday 26 September between 7am and 5pm.   For safety reasons we need to remove the water in the canal between Lock 2 and Lock 3 whilst excavation is taking place, thereby closing the canal to navigation on this day.  The towpath will remain open.
