A third party has partially removed the tree without our permission. While the navigation now appears to be clear, we cannot confirm whether any debris remains below the waterline, so boaters are advised to proceed with caution and at their own risk.

We are still working to secure access across third-party land in order to complete the full removal of the tree. As a result, it is unlikely that the remaining work will be carried out before Tuesday next week.

There is a fallen tree near Bulkington Road Bridge 5 which is blocking the towpath and navigation. We are working to clear this as soon as possible. We will update this notice as soon as we have further information.
