Essential maintenance work will be taking place on both guillotine locks at Don Aqueduct.
As part of these works, our engineering teams will be replacing the steel lifting cables which operate the guillotine lock gates. This maintenance is critical to ensuring the continued safe and reliable operation of the locks. To allow the works to be carried out safely:
- The guillotine gates will remain in the fully lowered position for the entire duration of the project.
- This means that navigation through the locks will not be possible until the works are complete.
We understand this may cause disruption to journeys, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and cooperation while we complete this important maintenance.
