Completed: Navigation has now resumed through the Northgate Locks on Shropshire Union Canal following a successful repair to the paddle gear at Lock 2.

Navigation is currently closed through Northgate Locks, Chester on the Shropshire Union Canal due to a broken paddle gearing on Lock 2, Northgate Middle Lock.
Our team have been to site today to carry out a repair, however this was unsuccessful. The team will be back onsite tomorrow to carry out further works and an update will be provided tomorrow afternoon, Friday 5 September.
