Lock 5, City Road Lock

Please be advised that due to the continued adverse weather we're experiencing we will not be able to reopen navigation until November the 25th.

With this in mind we have adjusted the plans to commence work on Actons Lock to start later to allow travel through the area and onto winter moorings.

The Actons Lock closure will now begin on Friday 28th November.

Our team have confirmed that the repairs are on schedule to finish on the 24th of November.

Due to adverse weather we're expecting a potential delay in the completion of this project, the project finish date has been updated to the 24th of November with this in mind.

We'll update this notice with more information on the 19th of November once our team have advised further.

We require a stoppage at this location to replace the gate at Lock 5. We managed to do an emergency temporary repair to keep the lock operational until the winter but it needs a new gate given its condition and the damage it sustained earlier this year.
