Please be advised that the canal and towpath remains closed due to an ongoing incident being managed by the Fire Service.

We continue to work closely with the emergency services and will reopen the canal as soon as we receive clearance from the Fire Service.

Due to a large factory fire adjacent to the canal, the Fire Service have requested closure of the canal. They have pumping equipment in the canal which is causing an obstruction and may temporarily impact water levels.
