We will continue to monitor the levels in the pound for any changes.

Unfortunately Tottenham Lock will remain closed until tomorrow morning where we'll reopen for navigation.
We'll continue to monitor the water levels and will update this notice with more information as the situation progresses.

Please be advised that we've had to suspend operation of Tottenham Lock temporarily due to water level issues. We'll update this notice with more information tomorrow.

The situation has recovered enough for us to reopen Tottenham Lock as of 12pm today.
This notice will remain open as we keep the situation under review.
Update 14 August 2025, 11:16am
The levels around Tottenham Lock have recovered enough for us to reopen assisted passage from tomorrow at 9am for one hour.
We will continue offering assisted passages three times a week between 9am and 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We'll continue to monitor the levels and will amend this notice should they decline any further.

Unfortunately due to a decrease in water levels we're suspending assisted passages for this week.
We'll update this notice with more information midday Thursday.

There are currently no changes to the conditions around Tottenham Lock. We will continue offering assisted passages three times a week between 9am and 10am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. We will continue to monitor the conditions and re-evaluate restrictions regularly.

We will be reintroducing assisted passage from this Wednesday 9am-10am. We will run this three times a week – Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays. However, we will maintain a watch on water levels and rainfall and reevaluate restrictions regularly.

Low water has set in again and we need to preserve water above Tottenham and there is another dry period setting in. As soon as water has stabilised we will re-introduce assisted passage. Instructions: Avoid Tottenham pound due to low water.
