Contractors have attended site and have cleared half of the tree that they could safely reach. Contractors will be back to clear the navigation of the other half of the tree with specialist winch equipment on Wednesday 23/07/25.
Boaters are requested that they proceed with caution, if absolutely necessary, until this tree has been cleared.

Tree fallen down in the lock, the lock and towpath is now closed until the tree can be safely removed.
The lock should be open again by close of play tomorrow.
