Please note that navigation on the South Stratford Canal remains closed due to ongoing low water levels.
Our team attempted to refill the pounds yesterday; however, on returning this morning, they found that a paddle had been wound up overnight, resulting in the pounds being emptied once again.
As a result, the canal will need to remain closed today while we continue efforts to restore water levels. We understand the inconvenience this causes and are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible.
A further update will be provided tomorrow (Wednesday 9th July.)

Please note that navigation remains closed on the South Stratford Canal due to low water levels. Our local team are actively working to re-fill the canal and restore levels as safely and efficiently as possible.
Navigation will remain closed until water levels have recovered and it is safe to reopen the canal.
A further update will be provided by tomorrow (Tuesday 8th July).

Due to low water levels we are having to close the South Stratford Canal until further notice. Our operations team are working to refill each pound but unfortunately every pound has been emptied either by accident or a malicious act of vandalism. Further information and an update will provide on Monday 07/07/25.
