Completed: Divers have confirmed that the sluice rod has snapped and have removed the broken section. This will require a new rod fabricating and another dive to reinstall, to be advised at a future date.

There will be a closure in place at Mexborough Low Lock on Thursday, 3rd July.

A dive in another area completed ahead of schedule and work at Mexborough will take place a day earlier than planned.

The dive is required as the downstream nearside sluice paddle has become disconnected. The lock will be closed whilst divers enter to investigate, with the intention to reattach the sluice.
