Despite colleagues running water all day yesterday, the levels have not sufficiently recovered for navigation and the section between lock 14 and lock 16 remains closed.

We are back on site today to continue to run water and will update this notice as soon as we have an update on the situation.

Due to low water levels and vandalism, the section of the Northampton Arm of the Grand Union between lock 14 and lock 16 is closed.

Please do not navigate this stretch until the water levels are restored. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update this notice as soon as we have any further information.
