Bridge 188, Grange Swing Bridge - Planned Closure

Works commencing 23.06.2025 for 5 days. Bridge will be in canal closed position but the footpath over the bridge is also closed.   Works are being carried out due to some additional funding as part of the Silsden to Kildwick towpath works, these works needed to be carried out before the end of June to secure the funding. The deck of the bridge will be repositioned slightly over the pintle and there will be some additional works to the bearing plates at either end to make the bridge easier to swing. The deck will also be replaced after the works have been completed at a more convenient time for boaters and pedestrians
