Update 22 July 2025, 1:28pm

To help preserve water resources, this week assisted passage will resume as follows:-

  • Wednesday, 23rd July 11am-1pm
  • Friday, 25th July 11am-1pm

From Monday, 28th July we will move to assisted passage on Mondays and Thursdays, 11am-1pm.

Please note that outside of these times, both Locks 51 and 52 gates will be padlocked to maintain the water levels.

Update 15 July 2025, 9:02am

Due to being unable to draw any further water from the pounds above and a damaged lock gate, water levels are not recovering as they should.

Wednesdays assisted passage therefore, will not go ahead whilst we wait for the water levels to recover.

Update 12 June 2025, 9:34am

Due to low water levels, Locks 51 and 52 will be open only for assisted passage.

Assisted passage will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 11am until 1pm, starting on Friday 13th June.

Please note that outside of these times, both Locks 51 and 52 gates will be padlocked to maintain the water levels.
