Please be advised that navigation remains closed between Lock 10 and Lock 18 on the Ashton Canal due to a mechanical fault at Bridge 15.
Our teams attended the site again today and will return tomorrow. We are currently sourcing the necessary materials and are hopeful that repairs will be successful, allowing the bridge to reopen in time for the weekend. However, if this is not possible, the repair may take longer.
Please be assured that our team is doing everything we can to reopen the canal as soon as possible.
A further update will be provided on Friday, 13 June.

Navigation is currently closed between Lock 10 and Lock 18 on the Ashton Canal due to a mechanical fault at Bridge 16.
Our engineers have been informed of this issue.
An update will be provided Tuesday 24 June after they have visited the location and assessed a plan for repair.
