The tree has been passed to contractors, as its size exceeded the capacity of the local team to manage safely. Contractors will mobilise and commence removal works tomorrow morning, once the appropriate equipment is in place.

Please be advised that a large fallen tree is currently blocking navigation at Bridge 39 (High Bridge) on the Shropshire Union Canal in Norbury.
The local Operations team have been informed and will attend as soon as possible to assess. Further updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
