Below Hunsdon Lock on the River Stort

Please be advised that due to the reduced rainfall in the catchment area, the River Stort , between Hunsdon and Roydon locks, will remain closed overnight until next week - passage will be available between the hours of 8am and 4pm due to low water levels.

Roydon and Hunsdon Lock will be open to traffic from 8am until 4pm to allow passage on the Stort Navigation - The locks will be closed overnight to preserve the water levels for the time being - a further update on the lock opening times will be made later this week.

Due to paddles being left up at Roydon Lock , the water level between Hunsdon and Roydon Lock are below navigable depth. The river will be closed to navigation until the levels are replenished
