We have managed to manually move some siltation from behind one gate, however one gate still won't fully open.
This means widebeam craft cannot operate the lock.
We don't have a timescale for the further work required yet, but will update this notice when we have further information.

We have successfully carried out the full repair to the gate paddle on Greens Lock 68 on the Erewash Canal and it is now fully operational. However, the topside gates won't open fully due to siltation.
This means that widebeam boats will not be able to pass through the lock.
We don't currently have any timescales for when this siltation will be removed.
We will update this notice by 15th August or sooner if we have further information.
