Please be advised that Lock 6 (Gregory's Mill) on the Worcester & Birmingham Canal will be closed to navigation for essential repair works from 08:00 on Tuesday 3rd June until 16:00 on Wednesday 4th June.
This two-day closure is necessary to carry out urgent repairs to the paddle stand at the top end of the lock, which was damaged last week due to boater impact. Additionally, the bottom gates are currently leaking excessively, causing significant delays in lock operation - taking up to 10-15 minutes to fill. A repair is required to restore normal functionality.
We will provide updates should it be possible to reopen the lock earlier than scheduled. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
