Please be advised that, due to delays at City Road Lock, this stoppage will now commence on Monday, 1st December. This later start will provide time for travel through the area and onward to winter moorings over the coming weekend.

Please be advised that due to ongoing works at City Road Lock, now scheduled to continue until 25 November, this stoppage has been rescheduled to run from 28 November to 19 December. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. This later start will allow time for travel through the area and onward to winter moorings.

Following further investigation, it has been confirmed that grouting works are required at the Lock prior to the gate replacement. To accommodate these additional works, an extension is required until 19/12/2025.

Please note the towpath will no longer be closed during these works.
