Lock 8, Mayroyd - Near Hebden Bridge

Following a detailed inspection after the canal was dewatered, we have identified that the repairs required are more extensive than originally anticipated. These works will now require specialist contractor involvement. To ensure the repairs are completed safely and to the required standard, this stoppage will now remain in place until 27 February. Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete these essential works.

A navigation and towpath closure are required for wash wall repair works on the downstream lock landing.
