We would like to make you aware that we are having to extend the closure at Lock 87 due to delays and additional work requirements. Planned crane lift dates had to be moved at short notice because they coincided with the Chinese New Year parade. Whilst on site with the lock dewatered, further unplanned work has also been identified, including the refurbishment of the head gate and more extensive brickwork repairs than originally anticipated. As a result, this closure will need to remain in place until 18th March. We appreciate your patience and understanding while our team works to complete these essential activities safely and to the required standard.

A navigation and towpath closure are required for bottom gates replacement, head gate refurbishment and various general repairs.
