Please note that we have extended this notice until Tuesday 20th October 2026.

During this period, Limehouse Lock will be closed to all passages while the works are carried out safely.

We appreciate your patience and understanding whilst these works are being completed.

Please note that the planned walkway works are scheduled to take place from Wednesday 14th October to Friday 16th October.

Please note that works to repair the damaged walkway will begin during the week commencing 17th August.

Contractors will be on site to carefully remove the existing walkway, with plans to have it reinstated in early October 2026.

Please be advised that due to extensive damage to the walkway we've had to close off access between ///added.invite.corn and ///shark.hangs.slower for the foreseeable. This only affects the Northern walkway and the southern one is still passable. This does not affect navigation.
