Update 02/05/2025 08:34
Following the recent storms there has been a build-up of silt below Tottenham Lock. The navigation is very shallow on the offside (eastern side) for around 200m downstream of the lock landing. When approaching Tottenham Lock heading upstream please move to the left of centre on the navigation until you are passed the Pymmes Brook outflow on the towpath (western side) at which point it is then possible to move directly across onto the offside (eastern) lock landing or into the lock chamber. When leaving Tottenham Lock heading downstream please immediately head to the right of centre on the navigation. Please be aware of other boats in the area and ensure you and other boaters have adequate space to manoeuvre when approaching or departing the lock.'
Original 02/05/2025 08:33
Following the recent storms this week we are aware of an increase in silt outside of Tottenham Lock for 500m south around where the Pymmes Brook joins the navigation. We are looking to survey the area as soon as possible and to undertake remedial work. Until such a time please move with care through this area.
