Please be advised that there will be regular organised rowing activity between Lemonroyd Lock 7 and Woodlesford Lock 5, starting in December 2024 The activity is part of a 12-month pilot undertaken by The Gorse Academies Trust, which aims to encourage young people to participate in rowing activity. Rowing boats will launch at a fixed pontoon opposite Lemonroyd marina and will row on the long straight section between Fleet Lane Bridge and Swillington Bridge, where they will be permitted to exceed the navigational speed limit. All other boating activity may continue as usual but please take extra care when navigating this length.
