Please be advised, whilst navigation is still possible, Lock 5 on the Glasson Branch will take longer than normal to fill. A repair will be carried out once we have the required resources, as we continue to prioritise emergency works required along the Lancaster Canal.
We politely request all customers to navigate with care during this time.

Please be advised, following an inspection of Lock 5 Top Gate on the Glasson Branch, Lancaster Canal, we have noted an issue with the tailgate paddle. Whilst navigation is still possible, the lock will take longer than normal to fill.
Our teams are currently investigating a method of repair and we politely request all customers to navigate with caution during this time.
